One of the Most Beautiful Villages of France
Getting here, parking, enjoying the village: everything you need to know before you arrive.
Book your stayTerraces & Veules-les-Roses
The Veules rises in the heart of the village and reaches the sea just 1,149 metres later: it is the smallest river in France. Its watermills, thatched cottages and roses won over Victor Hugo, who stayed here several times with his friend Paul Meurice. Our terraces line its banks: read, have lunch, listen to the water. At the end of the path, the cliffs and the pebble beach.

Private hire
A birthday, a family celebration, drinks with friends: the Douce France garden can be hired exclusively for up to 45 guests, sheltered behind its walls in the heart of the village. For more intimate occasions, or when the Normandy skies have other ideas, one of our lounges can also be reserved for you.
Tell us about your plans, and we'll shape the rest together.
